Emily Werman

Meet Emily, the leader of KEEN LA’s tennis program. After graduating from California Lutheran University, armed with a degree in Disabilities Studies, years of experience, and a varsity tennis racket, Emily became not only a full-time special education teacher at The Help Group, but also a program director of the ACEing Autism Program. Through KEEN LA’s partnership with with ACEing Autism, Emily teaches both adolescents and young adults with a variety of special needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities, ADHD, developmental delays, abuse, and emotional challenges. Whether in the classroom or on the court, Emily’s goal is to support the social, emotional, and academic growth and progress of her students, citing it as “gifts that give great meaning and purpose” to her life.
